2016 Apex Award for Publication Excellence – Focus on Safety Magazine (also in 2015 and 2014)
An annual competition for publishers, editors, writers and designers who create print, Web, electronic and social media. Jazz has won an Apex Award for our internal safety magazine, Focus on Safety, for the last three years.

Canada's Best Diversity Employers (also in 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013 and 2012)
Jazz was selected as one of Canada's Best Diversity Employers by Mediacorp Canada Inc. This special award recognizes employers across Canada that have exceptional workplace diversity and inclusiveness programs. Jazz was recognized for promoting a culture that embraces diversity and fosters inclusion through a number of initiatives aimed at making current and prospective employees feel welcome and valued, and by forming resource groups to support employees' personal and professional needs.

Jazz ranks among North America’s top five on-time performing regional airlines (also in 2015)
Jazz has placed among North America’s top five on-time performing regional airlines for flight arrivals as reported by FlightStats Inc. This marks Jazz’s second consecutive year to achieve this position.

FlightStats publishes its On-Time Performance Services Awards annually to recognize those airlines that achieve consistently high performance and deliver on their promise to carry passengers to their destinations in a timely fashion. In selecting the top airlines, FlightStats examines carriers around the world that deliver the highest percentage of flights to their arrival gates within 15 minutes of the scheduled arrival time.

2013 - Jazz ranks first for on-time performance among Canadian carriers
Jazz ranked first among Canadian carriers for arrival on-time performance for the month of September 2013, as reported by FlightStats Inc. This marked Jazz's 10th consecutive month in the leading position among Canadian carriers, and also placed it among North America's top five on-time performing airlines for the past five months, according to the leading global flight and airport information service.

Young People 2017 EN

Canada’s Top Employers for Young People (also in 2016, 2015, 2014 and 2012)
This special designation recognizes the employers that offer the nation's best workplaces and programs for young people just starting their careers. Jazz received this award due to our participation in Seneca College's Cadet Program, our partnership with the Collegiate Aviation Canada Group of Colleges, and our scholarships for students enrolled in Aircraft Maintenance Engineer programs.

Atlantic Canada’s Top 25 Employers (also in 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013, and 2012)
Jazz has been named one of Atlantic Canada’s Top 25 Employers for 2016 by Mediacorp Canada Inc.This designation is unique as the competition extends across all four of Canada's Atlantic provinces.

The annual competition evaluates and identifies the employers in Atlantic Canada that lead their industries in offering exceptional places to work. Jazz was recognized for supporting employee development, cultivating an ownership culture, and helping employees reach a work/life balance work through alternative work arrangements.

Nova Scotia’s Top 15 Employers (also in 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013, and 2012)
Jazz has been recognized as one of Nova Scotia’s Top 15 Employers for 2016 by Mediacorp Canada Inc. The annual survey chooses employers that lead in offering the most progressive human resources programs and forward-thinking workplace policies. Jazz received this award based on our mentoring, apprenticeship and training programs, retirement planning assistance, and our “Jazz After Hours Club”, which organizes social activities for employees throughout the year.

Bombardier's Most Reliable Q400, CRJ100/200 and CRJ700/900/1000 Aircraft Operator in North America

Jazz was recognized in three categories for exceptional reliability performance in 2015. Jazz has been the top recipient, in terms of number of awards won, at this event for three consecutive years.

Jazz won in the following programs at the 2015 Bombardier Airline Reliability Performance Awards: Q400 Aircraft Programs (North America), CRJ100/200 Aircraft Programs (North America), CRJ700/900/1000 Aircraft Programs (North America).

2014 - Bombardier’s Most Reliable CRJ100/200, Dash 8 100/200/300 and CRJ 700/900 Aircraft Operator in North America

The aircraft manufacturer honoured Jazz with its 2014 Airline Reliability Performance Award in three categories: Q100/200/300 Aircraft Programs, CRJ100/200 Aircraft Programs, and CRJ700/900/CRJ1000 Aircraft Programs for the North American region.

2013 - Bombardier’s Most Reliable CRJ100/200 and Q400 Aircraft Operator in North America

The aircraft manufacturer honoured Jazz with its 2013 Airline Reliability Performance Award in two categories: CRJ100/200 Aircraft Programs and Q400 Aircraft Programs, both for the North America region.

2012 Safety award for web

2012 Baines Simmons – Innovation in Aviation Safety Management
Jazz’s selection for the award was attributed to its success at integrating several existing systems into one safety and business management system. The Baines Simmons judges’ statement on selection Jazz as the winner was: “Jazz stood out for its evidence of integrating SMS across aviation safety, quality, health and safety and business. Jazz demonstrated an excellent reporting culture with high reporting levels and report quality. The airline has shown innovation through the merger of multiple reporting and management systems and so achieved a 50 per cent reduction in database running costs. There was sound evidence of the integration of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in the approach to business management. The return on investment from the company’s safety management systems was evident in the reduction of time lost to injury and ground damage.”
